How do I change content on my dental website?

Our template dental websites use a very powerful and easy to use content management system (CMS) that allows you to edit your content right on the website.  By simply logging in, you can navigate through the site and change/edit articles by clicking the edit button on every page.  You are able to add images, change text size and color, and much more.

If you choose to purchase a blog addition for your dental website, then you will find it very easy to add full articles and populate chosen categories.

If you would like to see a demonstration please feel free to call us at 888-937-5552 and a representative will walk you through the simplicity of editing and adding content to your website.

What are the pros and cons of having flash on a dental website?

Flash banners can be visually appealing, add a level of modernism and professionalism, and capture the viewer’s attention for a few seconds- just enough to encourage them to stay on the page and read or click through to the important parts of your website.  In fact, I usually recommend clients add simple flash to their websites for just those reasons.

Flash can also be used to show animations of complex explanations.  A perfect example is a dental service.  Many people do not know what a root canal procedure is.  All they know is that it’s a scary procedure that people groan about.  By including a step by step animation- that is not gruesome or scary- you educate the patient and alleviate their anxiety.  They also come to the office prepared and will better understand any comforting explanations you give them in the office.

THERE ARE THINGS YOU SHOULD NOT DO WITH FLASH!  I capitalize this for a reason.  You need to be aware of the benefits of flash but you [Read more..]

How Did New Dental Web get started?

After graduating DePauw University as a Management Fellow, Steve Presser went on to earn his Masters in 3D-Animation at Savannah College of Art and Design. Meanwhile, his twin brother, Dr. Rich Presser, was finishing dental school at Indiana University.

Graduating the same time, Steve moved out to San Diego to start Sideshow Animation, a company specializing in digital media, 3D animation, and websites. Rich Presser worked for Heartland Dental for two years in Indianapolis before joining his business partner, Steve Regan, in Fort Wayne, IN to start Summit Dental Group.

Steve Presser offered his marketing and web expertise to Summit Dental Group in return for dental work. With a great looking design established, Steve Presser shifted his efforts toward creating marketing strategies, sales tools, and practice management tools. Dr. Regan and Dr. Presser used their dental experience to shape and direct these strategies. The result: Summit Dental Group’s business shot [Read more..]

Can I add flash or SEO to my dental website a few months after I create the website?

Yes.  At any time after your dental website is created you may add flash, SEO, blogs, and more.  All of the add-ons can be found in our shopping cart and are not time sensitive.

With that being said, we recommend creating the SEO right away.  Google, Yahoo, and other browsers can take months to index your website and when they do, you are better off having your website optimized at that time.

If I already have a dental website, and I want a new one, is New Dental Web able to build me new dental website from my old one?

Absolutely.  The majority of the time this is the case.  Depending on what your content looks like, we can either fit you with an existing template that allows you to alter content or we can create a custom design that fits your website perfectly.

The best thing to do is send us your current URL so we can assess the situation and provide you with our professional opinion.  Our goal is to create a web solution that works for your dental practice.

How do you setup standard SEO on my website? What tools do you recommend to help keep my SEO up to date?

Although this answer could potentially be hundreds of pages long, I will stick to the basics and give you a brief overview.  If you purchase the standard SEO package, we will integrate a number of keywords/keyphrases for your dental practice into the website.

For example, if you are a practice called Big Smiles in Fort Wayne, IN we may use some of these keyphrases:

dentist in Fort Wayne, IN
dentist in Ft. Wayne, IN
Fort Wayne, IN dentist
Ft. Wayne, IN dentist
Big Smiles dental practice
Big Smiles Fort Wayne, IN

We take these keyphrases and integrate them into every aspect of the website- alt tags, imagery, pages, links, and more.  Once our initial SEO is complete, we go through a number of other steps that will give you a good foundation for search engines.

SEO TOOLS - Google Analytics
There are countless tools that you can use including Google Analytics (a statistics package that we install free of charge.)  You can mo [Read more..]

What is the buying process for a dental website template? How are my monthly payments handled?

The buying process is very simple.  You can either check out with a credit card using the online shopping cart or you can call one of our sales specialists if you have specific requests or questions.  Many times, dentists will prefer a free consultation before purchasing their site to make sure they have all of the online tools they need to properly market their practice.

Monthly payment are automatically made via credit card on the same monthy date as the purchase.  If you prefer to pay annually then you will receive a 5% discount. If you pay for two years in advance then you save 10% which will often save you hundreds of dollars.
